SUMMARY:Community Loan Fund 38th Annual Event
DESCRIPTION:The Community Loan Fund is proud to announce the details regarding our 38th Annual Event on Thursday, October 19th, at the Kenmore Ballroom in Downtown Albany from 5:30-7:30PM. This year, our Annual Event is centered around our on going Incubator Building Capital Campaign. To help us properly celebrate 38 years of service to the Capital Region, the event will be emceed by Market President and Publisher of the Albany Business Review, Walter Thorne.\nA native of Wappingers Falls, NY and an alumni of Wagner College; Mr. Thorne serves on the board of the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall as well as the Capital Region Chamber of Commerce. He frequently volunteers his time as a mentor through several nonprofit organizations including Capital Region P-Tech as well as the SEAT Center. Thorne’s passion in life is to give back to the community by coaching and mentoring professionals during today’s current unrest. He combines a unique perspective of empathy, accountability, awareness, and structural changes to guide organizations to new levels during uncertain times. He has served in his current role with the Albany Business Review since July 2021.\n“We are honored to have Walter join us as we celebrate 38 years of service to the Capital Region”, said Linda MacFarlane, Executive Director of the Community Loan Fund.\n“As we continue to raise funds to bring our state-of-the-art incubator building to life, it is crucial that we partner with individuals and organizations who share the sense of community involvement that we do here at the Community Loan Fund. Walter Thorne has shown from not only his successful career at the Albany Business Review, but through his selfless volunteering and commitment to mentoring the next generation of leaders that he is the right person to emcee this special event.”\nTo RSVP please click the button below:\nRSVP Here:\n \n
