Welcome to the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region

The Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region is a nonprofit community development financial institution serving the Capital Region of New York State — Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren & Washington Counties. Incorporated in 1985, our mission is to promote sustainable community development efforts for economically underserved people and communities.

We provide access to capital by pooling investments and donations from socially concerned individuals and organizations, and re-lending it to nonprofit organizations and small businesses. We also offer training and technical assistance programs for small business owners and nonprofit leaders.

Explore our work and join us in this partnership by becoming an investor, a donor, or a nonprofit or small business borrower – together we are strengthening communities and changing lives.

“Without the Community Loan Fund, we would not have been able to get construction started. People that were homeless for years and years, now have permanent housing.”

Janine Robitaille

“Without the Community Loan Fund, we would not still be in business, nor would we have been able to expand to a second location. We truly appreciate being part of this wonderful organization, and look forward to working with the Community Loan Fund for many years to come.”

Jason Wellington

“The Community Loan Fund is helping to make the community a better place for us all. We have used loan fund financing on several occasions and have always found them to be easy to work with and a great supporter of our work.”

Fred Erlich

“The Community Loan Fund made Bliss possible, as they were the first source of funding we acquired. Without their faith in our business, we would not have been able to bring this business to our community.”

LinkedIn’s motto is: “Do Business Where Business is Done” – and these days, business is done with companies that have both a personal and professional presence on LinkedIn. Our personal profiles are still the best way to be seen but don’t write off Pages, because with all the resources and effort being poured into them, they’ll be caught up in no time.In this workshop, Miranda VonFricken will discuss WHY all businesses (even the one-person business) should have a LinkedIn page, how to use it, and all the benefits of this 1-2 punch of both your profile and page. You’ll leave understanding how to leverage the power of pages and how important it is for your business to be on the “ground floor” of this major LinkedIn Movement! A member of the Forbes Coaching Counsel, host of Albany's LinkedIn Local, and founder of LinkedIn Growth Academy, Miranda can get you and your business in the right position to thrive on the platform!
