MWBE: Contract Development and Review for small and M/WBE firms
Congratulations, if you are interested in this workshop it means that you are getting ready to provide services and products to your clients/customers. Yes, contracts/agreements can be daunting, but with some knowledge and insight, you’ll be working soon and getting paid. In order to assist new, small, M/WBE and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms, insight will be provided on contract provisions, some do’s and don’ts to a successful contract and some pitfalls that you should be aware of in advance.
Presented by James Chicoine
For over 37 years, James Chicoine worked for New York State agencies. During a significant portion of that time, he supervised a group that advertised requests for proposals for professional engineering and other services, managed the proposal evaluation and selection process, and oversaw the design-build/best value selection processes. He routinely debriefed firms and sat through numerous marketing presentations. During his tenure at one of the agencies, he was involved with the significant increase of M/WBE and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned firm participation in engineering and related services contracts.
