In pursuit of Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region, Inc’s mission, in consultation with the Director of Community Relations & Development, the Development Coordinator will be the staff person handling investor capitalization, donor fundraising transactions, and relationship-building. S/he/they shall assist with development activities and work professionally and cooperatively in a team environment with other staff and volunteers.
Primary Duties include:
Capitalization: Manage transactions to raise adequate and appropriate equity and debt capital to meet the needs of lending and investment activities
- Nurture, maintain and expand relationships with current and prospective investors
- Identify and cultivate prospective donors and investors from:
- private sources, financial institutions, businesses, nonprofits, faith-based groups, foundations, and individuals
- Grow Emerging Investor Network (EIN) investment portfolio
- Arrange and participate in EIN events and activities
- Monitor and maintain the investment portfolio: including renewals, repayments, interest payments, reports and data management in Access and TEA databases, communicating as necessary with bookkeeper and other staff.
- Ensure organization policies are being followed and consistently applied for all donor and investor-related activities
- identify needed procedure or policy changes to Director of Community Relations & Development
Fundraising and Development: Assist with and implement fundraising activities to raise adequate annual operating support
- Nurture, maintain and expand relationships with current donors and supporters
- Identify and cultivate prospective donors from multiple sources
- Research operating funding sources and prepare written proposals to:
- private sources including financial institutions, corporations, faith-based groups, individuals, and foundations
Reporting
- Prepare all required progress reports to management and stakeholders
Information Management
- Maintain database to meet organizational needs

Salary Range: $45,000 to $50,000 depending on experience and education
