Albany, NY- Along with 99 other economic trailblazers spanning from Manhattan to Buffalo, our Executive Director Linda MacFarlane has been named to the 2024 Trailblazers in Economic Development List according to City & State NY. This list, according to City & State’s press release, “seeks to shine a spotlight on 100 New Yorkers who are on the front lines, creating jobs and spurring economic growth at the local, state and national level.” City and State NY wrote the following regarding MacFarlane’s recognition:

At the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region, Linda MacFarlane oversees a $20 million nonprofit community development financial institution that is focused on startup and capital for BIPOC- and women-owned business enterprises, along with technical assistance and sustainable community development. A core element of the Community Loan Fund’s strategy is providing low-interest loans to small MWBEs in the Albany region. The organization also operates the Albany Center for Economic Success, a low-cost incubator space for MWBE small businesses in the region.
