This week, the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region closed on two loans to Living Resources totaling $470,000, to help support their College Experience program at the College of Saint Rose. Living Resources will use the loans to buy two properties near the college that will help expand the program and accommodate more students.
The College Experience Program is a two-year residential program that helps students with intellectual disabilities attend college, and practice living independently. Through the program, students live on the downtown campus, attend classes, intern at local businesses, and learn life skills like cooking, personal finance, and health and wellness.
“Our graduates leave prepared to begin the next chapter of their lives with the skills and experiences they need to succeed in the real world,” said Fred Ehrlich, CEO of Living Resources.
The Community Loan Fund is proud to help Living Resources continue this important program.
