Grrreendog Grooming in Albany is adding more four-legged clients to its roster by adding doggie daycare.
In January, owner Sundance Lev closed on loan for $29,500 from the Community Loan Fund to expand her dog grooming business to include a doggy daycare.
Grrreendog Grooming and Spa first opened its doors in January 2010. The business offers many services to dog owners such as bathing, grooming, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. The products used at Grrreendog Grooming are environmentally friendly as well as pet friendly.
“I believe being ‘green’ is not only healthier for us humans, it is also safer and healthier for our pets,” says Lev.
Grrreendog Grooming has three goals: low stress during the grooming process, individual attention to the needs of your dog, and using products that are proven safe for dogs and the environment.
The business has an opportunity to lease the adjacent commercial space that is attached to Grrreendog’s current location. The additional space will allow the business to offer dog daycare type services. The loan proceeds will be used to make leasehold improvements and to purchase equipment and supplies.
